Monday, August 2nd, 2010

As a result of steady economic success in Augusta, Georgia, the Augusta Commission has kept the net millage rate unchanged in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and the mayor’s office has just announced that there will be a tax rollback in 2010.

Quoting Mayor Deke Copenhaver, “During these difficult economic times, our ability to slightly rollback taxes is a true testament to the overall fiscal health of our city.  By holding the millage rate steady for the past three years, it is indeed a blessing to be able to put into effect a tax rollback in 2010.”
